AHU HVAC Mechanical Assembly Operative
The successful applicant will be based in our office and factory premises in Astwood Bank, Redditch, Worcestershire. The successful applicant would be responsible for building small to medium sized AHU’s using hand tools, the role is mainly manual, involving lifting and moving heavy units. The applicant should be self-motivated and able to work under their own initiative. A clean, full, driving licence is essential as there may be occasional onsite work across the UK required. Working hours to be 8am – 4pm Monday-Thursday and 8am – 1:30pm Friday.
We will be offering the following package to the right candidate:
- Salary £26,000 – £28,000 per annum depending on experience

Main Duties of the AHU Assembler:
- Assembly of Air handling units and spares. Parts will become available either from manufacturing suppliers or purchased items.
- Assembly operator to monitor and action any discrepancies found in quality of air handling units produced.
- Assemble AHUs using assembly drawings and production orders.
- Make sure all relevant quality check lists are completed and any customer specific requirements are fitted.
- Help prioritize work flow to make sure all required delivery times are met.
- Safe use of various machines i.e. hand held drills and other tools.
- Participate and contribute to Production Meetings as required.
Skills required for the AHU Mechanical Assembler role:
- Experience in assembly of AHUs or similar equipment (preferred)
- Experience in use of hand tools (essential)
- Ability to interpret bills of materials, production orders and drawings (preferred)
- Some pipework and electrical experience (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)
